A subtle paradox

Have you ever wondered what could be, worse than the blazing furies of hatred?Worse than the venomous glances and viper fumes? Worse than all that pent up emotion just waiting to lash out?

Indifference

An abysmal void, devoid of emotion. An empty space which could not have been more conspicuous. It is to speak volumes by not not saying a word. To see but not notice. To hear but not listen...

Yes..I believe it is the most potent weapon of all...A black hole, towards which once you start spiralling, you can be assured of no return.

Agree totally ! If you are gonna talk back, it means that you are giving some respect to that person. Being indifferent hits the other person's ego even harder !

But you know what's worse, when the person you are being indifferent to does not even notice!! If they don't care!

@ suresh- yes..u got it...

@ muse - Nay...if you care about the other person caring about your indifference...then its an act..and you are actually not indifferent towards her/him...

It is also possible that this other person does actually care but acts otherwise...or maybe not...

hmmm, yeah i guess u're rite - it's an act if you care if they don't react when you're indifferent. i guess i was fooling myself into believing otherwise. And about the other person acting otherwise but actually caring - if i believed that would be wishful thinking too!! better to believe the worst..!!

yes, indifference without words is the worst. this shoots up a Q: if a person considered friend shows that (whether its an act or genuine) do you still intend to rate that person amicable in the future? whats ur thought in that?
